Because this was an election year in Canada, students took part in an election in the studio! For our election, we studied music history! The four parties students could vote for were the Baroque Party, Classical Party, Romantic Party, and Modern Party. We studied the composers over in the lead up to the election, and made four group posters about the four different musical eras we were studying.

We made posters for each era, using some written facts, pictures of composers, and a few visual representations of their pieces.
Votes were tallied the week of the Canadian election, and students got to find out who won the week following.
As you can see, Beethoven and the Romantic party won the election! They have prove quite popular, this is their third win, and they were bested only once prior by the Modern Party.
